Yakult Australia Pty. Ltd.
A well-known probiotic drink manufacturer has acknowledged that a cyber incident affected its IT systems, resulting in data being made available on the dark web.
The purported hackers seem connected to DragonLeaks and assert that they have acquired Yakult's corporate database, contracts, and passports, among other records.
David Whatley, director of Yakult Australia, stated he was informed on Christmas Day that the cybercriminals had started posting some of the data they claimed to have acquired on their dark web forum, but he did not confirm which data had been obtained.
The corporation stated in a statement that the cyber intrusion had damaged IT systems in both Australia and New Zealand, while also stating that their offices remained operational and open.
