University of California San Francisco (UCSF) was targeted by the Netwalker Ransomware operators.

The hackers stole unencrypted data and encrypted their computers and threatened to release the stolen data if not paid.

The threat actors also posted screenshots of some of the stolen files which include student applications with social security numbers, a spreadsheet, and folder listings that appear to contain employee information, medical studies, and financials.
