The medical records of about 200,000 U.S. military veterans were exposed in a cyberattack on United Valor Solutions, a disability evaluation service for the Veterans Administration.
The compromised data included patient names, birth dates, contact information, medical information, and even doctor information and appointment times.
The attackers demanded around 0.15 Bitcoin worth $8,148 to remove the data and block the public access to the data sets.
