The University of Virginia was the victim of a cyber attack after attackers illegally accessed some of its systems.
The hackers were not able to access personal information, such as Social Security numbers, banking information, or personal health information.
After the investigation, the attack appeared to originate in China.
The University immediately upgraded security systems to further strengthen that help to prevent future cyber attacks.
