Sensata, an industrial tech maker, confirmed a data breach in April 2025 that compromised personal information including names, Social Security numbers, tax ID numbers, government-issued ID numbers, financial account info, payment card info, medical info, health insurance info, and dates of birth. The breach affected at least 362 individuals in Maine. The company experienced a ransomware incident that encrypted devices, affecting operations such as shipping, receiving, manufacturing production, and support functions. Although the company implemented interim measures, the timeline for full restoration is unknown. Sensata is offering victims 12 months of free identity restoration through Experian.
