The Population and Immigration Authority illegally shared the facial images of millions of Israelis with an unnamed government agency for the past seven years.
The database of “reduced-quality” images containing biometric database for all intents and purposes was being apparently shared with the unauthorized agency.
The authority immediately took actions while knowing about the issue and dealt with it immediately.
