Petersen International Underwriters suffered a data breach after some of the information contained in its computer system was compromised.
The breach compromised certain consumers’ names, Social Security numbers, account numbers, credit & debit card numbers and driver’s license numbers.
PIU took the affected systems offline, secured its network and sent out data breach letters to all affected parties.
