National Fire Protection Association

On March 18, 2022, the Maine Office of the Attorney General reported that the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) experienced a data breach involving unauthorized access to certain information within its network between September 27, 2021 and September 28, 2021. The breach potentially affected 2,070 individuals, including 17 Maine residents, and compromised personal information such as names, Social Security numbers, financial account information, and payment card details. NFPA offered identity theft protection services through Experian for two years to impacted individuals.
