Notably, almost 1,000 Belgian businesses suffered cyberattacks in 2021, highlighting the critical importance of cybersecurity measures. The banking sector, however, demonstrated robustness with a higher cybersecurity score than the global and European averages, attributed to heavy investment in infrastructure and artificial intelligence tools for improved protection.
