Medical Assurance Society (MAS), a major insurer of medical professionals in New Zealand was hit with a cyber attack that exposed the personal data of its members.
Its third-party supplier of after-hours call-centre services recently notified it of a breach of their systems through a cyberattack.
Though no confirmation about which data was compromised, out of an abundance of caution they have suspended the use of this supplier.
