Luxottica Group S.p.A. suffered from a data breach incident that exposed 70 million customers' personal information.
Exposed data includes customer names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, and dates of birth.
They immediately reported the incident to the FBI and the Italian Police.
The FBI has detained the website owner, the data-posting website has been taken down, and the investigation is still ongoing.
We have also informed the Italian data protection authority, and we are looking into other notification requirements.
