The Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia claimed to have discovered an American intelligence operation that had 1000 iPhones infiltrated using cutting-edge surveillance software.
The operation affected the devices of dozens of Kaspersky Lab personnel, according to the Moscow-based company.
Infected Apple Inc. devices numbering in the thousands included both domestic Russian users and international diplomats stationed in Russia and the former Soviet Union.
The FSB has discovered a special services intelligence operation by the United States that involved Apple mobile devices.
