Health P.E.I. suffered from a data breach incident after an employee's laptop was stolen in April.
More than 4,000 patients and 1,200 Health P.E.I. employees data exposed including names, dates of birth gender postal code and health card numbers.
Health PEI sent letters to all those whose information was breached in the incident.
They investigated the incident and de-identified information on laptops and prevent this from happening again.
