eThekwini Municipality

The eThekwini Municipality suffered a data breach incident after an unauthorized party gained access that exposed client data.

The compromised information included email, ID number, deceased status, gender, account number and cellphone number.

eThekwini Municipality investigated the incident and took site offline in order to prevent the breach.
