A biotech company was the target of a ransomware attack that compromised test data and the personal information of about 2.5 million people.
A ransomware assault allegedly entailed the unauthorised access to or acquisition of clinical test information for some 2,470,000 people, according to Enzo Biochem, a biosciences and diagnostics firm based in New York.
The business was still able to function, but it later learned that names, test data, and about 600,000 Social Security numbers had been accessed.
The corporation made this statement in a Form 8-K submission to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. It also stated that it would notify affected parties and authorities as required by law.
