Less than 5% of devices are used by academics and staff, according to the report.

In order to reassure parents that their children's private information, including PowerSchool data, is safe offsite, the school district claims they want to do so.

Homeland Security and the Cleveland City Police Department are assisting CCS in their investigation into the event, according to CCS.
