BTC.com, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency mining pools, fell victim to a cyberattack that resulted in the theft of approximately $3 million worth of crypto assets belonging to both customers and the company.
The stolen asset included around $700,000 worth of crypto owned by its clients and $2.3 million in digital assets owned by the company.
The company has since recovered some of the stolen cryptocurrency, though it has not disclosed the amount.
The authorities also launched an investigation, began collecting evidence, and requested assistance from and coordination with relevant agencies.
