The Maine Attorney General's Office reported that the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) experienced a data breach involving unauthorized access to employee email accounts between December 4, 2020, and November 19, 2021. The breach potentially exposed personal information, including names and Social Security numbers, of employees and their dependents, including one Maine resident. ANSI began mailing notification letters to affected individuals on September 22, 2023.
