A hacker collective purportedly affiliated with Iran claims to have taken 100,000 IDF medical documents from Ziv Medical Centre in Safed, Galilee, during a cyberattack.
In the last four months, Ziv has experienced a cyberattack three times. The identification of a possible cyberattack in the hospital's computer systems was confirmed in a joint announcement by the Israel National Cyber Directorate and the Health Ministry.
The public was reassured that the problem had been swiftly located and handled, and that the medical center's activities had not been affected in any way.
In a joint statement, Ziv Medical Centre and the Privacy Protection Authority of the Justice Ministry acknowledged that there were signs of information being leaked from hospital systems, which led to the imposition of a gag order to delete the content.
