A recent ransomware incident impacted patient information of thousands of patients of Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC).
The ransomware affected some internal systems of YRMC and compromised the files containing patient information, including names, Social Security numbers, health insurance information, and limited medical information of 700,000 patients.
YRMC took immediate action, took systems offline, and communicated with law enforcement to resolve the issue.
YRMC also offered complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft protection services to those who are eligible.
