Critical personal and insurance-related information, such as Social Security numbers, dates of birth and insurance policy/claim details were compromised. The breach led to unauthorized access and data exfiltration between April 10 and 13, 2024. Despite efforts to contain and investigate the incident with cybersecurity experts, sensitive information related to Blue Shield and other clients was accessed. Young Consulting is offering credit monitoring services to affected individuals, while stolen data has been published online by BlackSuit, indicating a failure in negotiations.
