A cyber attack has been launched against Yellow Pages Group, a Canadian directory publisher, according to BleepingComputer.
The ransomware and extortion organisation Black Basta has exposed private papers and data over the weekend, claiming credit for the attack.
Although Yellow Pages primarily gather and distribute public data, that does not mean they do not also have access to private corporate or personal data.
After examining Black Basta's online post, BleepingComputer is able to determine that the ransomware organisation has exposed a sample of private papers.
