Wright County, Minnesota

An unknown party was able to enter an individual email account of the IT Department of Wright County.

The county immediately took steps to shut down the email system and scanned every email for any suspicious activity.

The investigation revealed that personal, private, or confidential information from 12,320 individuals was compromised in the attack.
