Wheeling Health Right was targeted in a ransomware attack that encrypted some of its systems.
The hackers accessed several files including full name, postal address, email address, phone number, driver’s license number, medical record number, Social Security number, tax information, income information, and other health information about patients who applied for or received services from the firm.
Wheeling Health Right immediately adopted the remedial security measures to safeguard the data and investigated the incident with the security experts.
