The Western Cape Blood Service (WCBS) was targeted by a cyberattack on July 2021.
In order to ascertain the causes, strengthen security precautions, and restore information systems, WCBS said that a cyberattack incident was being probed by hired professionals.
A ransomware attack affected Transnet Port Terminals' IT applications, and Transnet Port Terminals itself was the target of a hack, security intrusion, and sabotage.
The corporation shut down all of its services, forcing customers to book classes over the phone or in person and preventing them from accessing their accounts.
The restoration of internet services by Virgin Active took six to eight weeks.
