VFW Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States

On April 11, 2014, the California Office of the Attorney General reported a data breach involving the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States that occurred on February 12, 2014. An unauthorized party gained access to VFW's webserver using a remote access trojan, compromising the personal data of approximately 55,000 members including names, addresses, and Social Security numbers.
