Vermont Department of Labor

The Vermont Department of Labor (DOL) faced a security data breach incident in March 2017 that exposed more than 180,000 accounts.

The exposed information includes the Social Security numbers of tens of thousands of Vermonters.

The state was considering filing a lawsuit against the private vendor in charge of the breach.
