Vertafore

A data breach containing the personal information of 27.7 million Texas licenced drivers was disclosed by the provider of insurtech solutions.

Vertafore claims that a human error resulted in unauthorised access to the information as the reason of the incident.

According to the business, the breach was brought on by an employee who unintentionally placed three sensitive files on an insecure external storage device.

Driver names, dates of birth, addresses, and car registration histories are also among the data that were compromised, according to the Colorado-based business, which was kept to support a particular product under Vertafore's insurance rating solutions.
