Veiligheidsregio Noord- en Oost-Gelderland fell victim to a ransomware attack in September 2020.
The attackers targeted its internal systems and disrupted the normal functioning of its notification systems through which security services communicate.
The VNOG along with the security experts investigated the incident and restored the systems.
