The University of Sunderland in the UK faced extensive operational issues after its IT systems were targeted in a cyber-attack.

The attack appears disrupted all telephone lines, the official website, the main email servers, library WiFi, on-premise PC/laptop access, printing, and all online portals that students use for accessing eBooks, journals, and other services.

The university set up an alternative domain "uostoday.sunderland.ac.uk" to provide some updates to concerned students after the attack compromised their studies and lectures.
