What Happened?
In September 2025, Trailer Transit suffered a significant data breach. On Sept. 15, 2025, the Metaencryptor Team, a known ransomware group, claimed responsibility for the attack and posted about it on the dark web. They alleged to have obtained 8GB of the company’s data and threatened its exposure.
The breach was officially disclosed to the Massachusetts Attorney General on Nov. 25, 2025, and to the Vermont Attorney General on Nov. 26, 2025. According to the notices, unauthorized parties gained access to Trailer Transit’s internal systems and may have accessed sensitive personal information.
