Career-threatening personal and financial information was compromised, and Toyota Financial Services (TFS) is alerting affected parties to this fact.
Unauthorised individuals were able to access personal data because of a cyberattack on the networks. The affected clients have been notified thus far.
To enhance security, Toyota Financial Services advises its German clients to stay alert and get in touch with their bank. In addition to getting a recent credit report from Schufa, they must keep an eye out for any atypical activity.
To remove data purportedly taken from the organisation, the ransomware group first requested payment of $8,000,000. They then gave the option to extend the deadline by an extra $10,000 every day.
