Townsquare Media

Townsquare Media

The prominent American radio network and media firm Townsquare Media was the target of a cyberattack that the ALPHV ransomware organisation has claimed responsibility for.

A astounding 251GB of the company's data is supposedly in the hands of the threat actors. This specifically targets files created during the last year and includes files sourced from the company's servers and workstations.

The threat actor's post had 19 attachments, which served to emphasise the extent of the Townsquare Media data breach.

A threat intelligence firm called Falcon Feed tweeted the article, bringing attention to the purported Townsquare Media data leak.

The threat actor claimed to have the extensive data cache in two photos that were posted with the article.

The ALPHV ransomware organisation has also issued an ultimatum, requesting that the business get in touch with them within a week to clear up the apparent misunderstanding and stop the publication of their data to the public.
