On the first day of online instruction, Toledo Public Schools experienced a computer breach.
According to district management, the day began well with kids and employees logging on, but by midday, they learned that the system had been hacked.
In order to conduct an investigation, the district promptly shut down its system and called in the FBI. For most students, the first day of class finished at noon.
The system is operational, according to TPS, and personnel has resolved the issue. Investigators are working to identify the culprit in the interim.
