TitleEase LLC Discloses Data Breach Affecting Sensitive Personal and Financial Information
TitleEase LLC, a Rhode Island-based title insurance and settlement services franchisor, reported a data breach involving unauthorized access to employee email accounts containing sensitive consumer information. The breach was disclosed to the Massachusetts Attorney General on September 4, 2026, with notification letters sent to affected individuals beginning August 28, 2026.
The incident was first detected on June 3, 2026, when suspicious activity was identified in an employee email account. An investigation revealed that two email accounts had been compromised, prompting a full review of the exposed data. The review, completed on August 10, 2026, determined that the breach potentially exposed names, Social Security numbers, financial account details, driver’s license numbers, and credit/debit card numbers.
In response, TitleEase is offering 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring, credit reports, and credit scores through Cyberscout (a TransUnion company) to affected individuals. Enrollment requires a unique code from the notification letter and must be completed within 90 days. The company has also established a dedicated call center (1-800-405-6108) and a mailing address (2374 Post Road, Suite 112, Warwick, RI 02886) for inquiries.
