The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's ticketing system and patron database were both destroyed by a ransomware attack over the weekend.

Customers' data, including credit card information, was previously encrypted and therefore not accessible to the perpetrators during the ransomware attack, according to a press release on the theater's website.

However, the theatre can no longer access customer data, including ticketing information, as a result of the attack.

The theatre also requests its customers' patience and understanding regarding the new ticketing procedure, which requires ticket holders to bring a copy of their tickets or their email confirmation when they attend a performance.
