The Michener Institute of Education at UHN

The Michener Institute found that it had been the victim of a cyber security breach where student, staff, and alumni data had been made public.

It was found as a result of this inquiry that confidential information was compromised, which may have included personal information like banking information, a social security number, a home address, or company financial data.

The Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario, law enforcement, and working with outside experts to thoroughly investigate the incident's cause are just a few of the immediate actions Michener has taken in response to this incident to reduce the risk of future data incidents of a similar nature.
