The incident was detected in November 2025, when the company identified unusual activity in one of its email accounts.
An investigation revealed that unauthorized access to the account began on or around October 28, 2025, with an unknown third party potentially accessing or downloading emails and attachments containing personal data. The compromised account was used for insurance operations, meaning affected individuals may include not only Alpine’s direct clients but also those whose information was shared with the agency by employers, insurance carriers, or health plans.
