The Weather Channel

The Weather Channel's Atlanta headquarters were targeted in a ransomware attack in April 18, 2019 which interrupted its live TV broadcast for 90 minutes.

The Channel's IT staff restored the impacted computers from backups, but it took 90 minutes to set everything up which disrupted its daily morning show AMHQ streams.

It notified all the viewers of the descriptions and the attack after the users began to put inquiries on Twitter and Facebook.
