The Law Society of Manitoba

Work at two Manitoba law firms became virtually standstill after cyber attacks.

The staff went without access to their computer systems, locking out digital files, emails, and data backups.Cloud backups were also locked.

Entire computer systems at the two firms were infected with ransomware.

The law society identified the ransomware virus as Maze.
