The Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI) had been a victim of a data security incident.
A “third party” gained unauthorized access to the CISI’s website through a “third-party application”.
Some of its members have had their financial information stolen after malicious code was inserted on its website.
The CISI launched an investigation and suspended all online transactions.
