Territory Families, Housing and Communities

A massive privacy breach involving the Northern Territory Families department has resulted in the discovery of dozens of private documents at the Alice Springs tip shop, including a child protection inquiry and a child death file.

The exposed file contained 33 clients and staff members of Territory Families dating back to 2009.

Territory Families notified the Information Commissioner and the cabinet was removed from sale.
