Tenafly Public Schools

Tenafly Public Schools' computer systems were attacked with ransomware, forcing it to use overhead projectors, paper, pencils, and hands-on activities in classrooms.

Final exams were also canceled for all of the district’s high schools as the attack struck.

The attackers encrypted the data on some computers in the district’s network but the school immediately isolated the devices, shut down the districtwide computer system, launched an investigation, and hired outside cybersecurity experts.
