Sterling Seacrest Pritchard Data Breach Exposes Sensitive Information of Over 7,400 Individuals
Sterling Seacrest Pritchard (SSP), a major insurance brokerage and risk management firm based in Atlanta, Georgia, confirmed a data breach that compromised the personal information of at least 7,420 individuals across the U.S., including 20 Maine residents. The incident was detected in August 2025 when the company identified suspicious activity in its email environment.
Following an investigation with cybersecurity experts, SSP determined that unauthorized access occurred between August 12 and 13, 2025. The breach exposed sensitive data, including names and Social Security numbers. The company concluded its review on March 19, 2026, and began notifying affected individuals by mail on March 25, 2026.
SSP, formed in 2021 through a merger of Sterling Seacrest Partners and Pritchard & Jerden, serves clients in industries such as construction, healthcare, and transportation. The law firm Shamis & Gentile P.A. is currently investigating potential compensation claims for those impacted.
