SterlingBackcheck, a trademark of Sterling Infosystems suffered a data breach after one of its laptops got stolen.
The laptop contained a spreadsheet containing an undisclosed number of job applicants’ names, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers.
SterlingBackcheck sent notification letters to the affected clients.
