Russian-speaking hackers targeted various US state government websites including Colorado, Kentucky and Mississippi and knocked their websites offline.
The State run Kentucky Board of Elections’ website, which posts information on how to register to vote, was also temporarily offline.
The hacking group Killnet claimed the responsibility for the website outage and stepped up their activity after Russia’s February invasion of Ukraine
