Shiseido

Shiseido Co., a major player in the Japanese cosmetics market, revealed that hackers had gained access to its online store, IPSA Co.'s subsidiary, which sells cosmetics.

The company disclosed the possibility of compromised data leaking and that hackers had gained access to the private data of roughly 420,000 consumers.

The business acknowledged the possibility that certain customers' financial information may have been compromised and that up to 56,000 customers' credit card information may have also been compromised.

Shortly after, Shiseido notified the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry and other Japanese authorities of the data leak.
