A cyberattack on the Universal National Service (SNU) platform has been confirmed by the Ministry of National Education.
The organisation reported that personal data, including first and last names, postal addresses, and email addresses, had been stolen as a result of this incident, impacting 150,000 individuals.
Regarding the scope of the data theft, 62,500 volunteers enrolled in SNU courses and 87,000 parents of the young people participating were impacted by the incident.
The SNU platform offered no guidance or information on the repercussions of this data theft in the letter it provided to the victims.
