SERNAC Chile

The Chilean National Consumer Service (SERNAC) was targeted in a ransomware attack in August 2022.

The incident consisted of a ransomware attack on the Microsoft and VMware ESXi servers of SERNAC's corporate networks, encrypting the data on the compromised equipment, thus interrupting its systems and online services.
