The internet provider, phone system, and official online page of the Senate of Puerto Rico were disabled after it was targeted in a cyber attack.
Although no sensitive information belonging to employees, contractors, or consultants was leaked in the attack.
The Senate officers reported the attack to the local and federal authorities.
